We enjoyed Ethiopian food in the past and have been delighted to have Tiru open in Lincoln. We have enjoyed both the... vegetarian and meat lovers combinations (several times!). The servings are generous and the food is both unique and flavorful. They appear to specially prepare each order, so for take-out, place your order well in advance as it takes some time to prepare, but it is definitely worth the wait.read more

*tip: Order 45 minutes ahead for take out :) Loved the flavors and the lady manning the counter was very sweet. I... ordered two entrees: #1 meat lovers and #5 Vegan combo. I imagine many people have tried #5 according to the pictures. For $30 it was a very heavy/dense meal to take home, really happy with the price and amount of food. I can see why they appreciate orders at least 45 minutes ahead. Even for a take out meal I can tell there was a lot of care placed into packing the meals. There were a lot of different components and tasted freshly cooked. Stayed warm even 40+ minutes later when we got to serving and digging in. Otherwise their menu seems reasonably priced; not particularly affordable nor expensive. I would return and try more of their dishes :)Wasnt sure what to expect from the bread, but it's almost like a slightly sour type flavor and mixes well with the other foods. I dont know if I would personally enjoy it by itself.read more

An overall great experience! Only got to eat inside of the actual restaurant a couple times pre-pandemic, but I've been... regularly getting takeout ever since. The staff is wonderful and the food is great. As some other reviews mention, it does take a little bit for the food to be served, but it's definitely worth it!read more

My wife and I had never tried Ethiopian food before, so we were really excited to get a chance to try it. Even though... she has a fairly low tolerance for spiciness, she ate a lot and was amazed by the spicy rainbow of flavors! Love, love, love the vegan combo and the peaceful atmosphere in the restaurant when we went to pick it up. Thank you for such a great first experience with this delicious cuisine.read more

This restaurant is amazing. Though I was not able to dine in due to covid-19 the atmosphere was elegant and tasteful. I... was helped by the kindest lady who was very apologetic when they didn’t have an appetizer available. The food was excellent and had rich flavors and spices making for a great experience! I ordered the “Tiru Lamb Wot” and it was outstanding!read more

We walked out full and smiling. All that said, I would recommend calling ahead to make sure they are indeed open, especially for Sunday lunches.read more

Delicious food! We tried the mixed meat platter and enjoyed it all (two lamb dishes, one chicken, one beef). The... flavours were all different, and the chef/host adjusted the spiciness to our liking as it was made fresh. Aside from the spice accommodation it seemed authentic. The restaurant is new so you may not have heard about it. Hoping this one stays!read more

Wonderful food!!!! I highly recommend it. Someone described Ethiopian food like this "if you like Indian food you... will love Ethiopian." For me it was the perfect way to describe Ethiopian. Yesterday was my first time ever eating Ethiopian and I am finding myself thinking about it today. Thank you Tiru for sharing your culture and food......I will be back!!read more
