Stopped in from out of state and order food i expected food to have a good flavor and was wrong. Nothing was done to... make service better chicken fried steak couldn't cut with fork tasted like old oil gravy tasted like corn starch and very thin and runny . will not be stopping here again nor can i recommend to anyone and still had to pay for a meal that was disgusting.read more

If you see the big bags of "Nebraska's Best Popcorn", buy it! Also the $2 giant granola bars are the best I've ever had.

Don't know how to give 4.5 stars. Or I would have. Great food, very laege portions. Prices a little on the high side... for the area, but on average for a truck stop. Service excellent.read more

I read a previous review touting an "enormous parking lot". Well, it IS enormous, but it appears to be parking for... local drivers who park their cars in spots to save them for their return from the road. I arrived at 9:45 PM, having passed up many truck stops with vacancies, to park in the enormous parking lot. It was completely full. About 70% of the parked trailers, day cabs, dump trucks, 4-wheelers, etc, appeared to be based out of this lot. I was heading for the exit when a guy pulled out, and I backed in, after driving all around the mostly dirt lot. Don't waste your time on this place. Stop in York if traveling East. I won't be stopping here again.read more

So, maybe I was just tired of driving and fast food, but I swear that my fried eggs, toast, and a salad were the best... I'd ever had...Anyway, it's a cute little cafe at a truck stop that has good service and good food. There are all kinds of things to look at, too.it was definitely a welcomed pit stop, after so many miles.read more

Nice stop for a combination of reasons for both old school and young blood Truckers. Great food served up right. Us... veterans of OTR always liked to goof off with the staff. This , to me, is far better than fast food served up by a quick thanks immediately followed by a " NEXT!". Can't stand those places. I enjoy stopping at SHOEMAKERS.read more

Great place & food. My friend had the chicken fried steak & eggs. He’s a foodie type of guys & said it was one of the... best he had had. I had the Reuben sandwich & it was amazingly flavorful. The onion rings were also good. My friend was a bit disappointed in the bacon though. But overall amazing!read more
