Pile of guacamole. I ordered the build your own. Spinach tortilla, all the vegetables, and guacamole. Forty minutes... later I opened it up as I was 30 miles south and found a soggy tortilla and a pile of guac. The lady taking the order even asked if I wanted banana peppers and jalapenos.read more

We come to Valentine every summer to float the Niobrara. We also eat at the Peppermill every year!! The food, and the... service are always spot on!! We will always highly recommend to anyone that asks!! Also, specifically to the owner.....GOOD FOR YOU on your responses to negative reviews!! You say what the rest of us restaurant managers wish we could!! We love it!! Keep it up, and see you next year!!read more

I wish I could give a rating based on food, but I never got to eat here. Hell, I never got to order a drink. After my... wife, my son and I were told it would be a 15 minute wait we watched as people who arrived after us, and did not have a reservation, were seated before us. When we were finally seated it was not in the restaurant but the lounge. I watched as at least five different members of the wait staff walked by with only a glance. Spend your money elsewhere in Valentine. I would recommend The Bunkhouse or McDonald's.read more

We were on a cross country trip on the back roads of America. Found this place and had amazing reviews and decided to... try it. Oh my it is wonderful! Food was amazing, service fantastic. You won't leave hungry! We had the spicy yard bird, parmesan French dip, country fried steak, chicken parmigiana sandwich. Food came out hot. Service was fantastic. I got the shrimp and chicken Alfredo and it was absolutely Devine. Their... Alfredo sauce is flavorful and creamy. My mother-in-law got the Chicken Murphy and absolutely loved it as well. We all agreed that we would prefer this restaurant over an Olive Garden any day. However, I will say that while their ravioli dishes are delicious, they are very small. So if you’ve got a big appetite, I would advise you to consider something else! We would definitely eat here again.read more

We were in Valentine and had dinner at the Peppermill Restaurant on Monday, June, 15. It was a wonderful dinner. We... had kayaked the Niobrara River that morning and had an early dinner. We shared the candied burnt ends and they were magnificent! We then shared the chicken fried steak dinner and it was delicious. The gravy brought back memories of my mom's! Our waitress was Lauren and she was absolutely awesome. She was attentive and so very friendly. It is nice to see teenagers who can respectfully and appropriately converse with adults. We discovered that her mother is the manager at the hotel that we were staying at, the Niobrara Lodge, which was comfortable and clean! We met Lauren's mother and we see why Lauren is such a fine young lady. The apple doesn't fall from the tree. First time we've been to Valentine and will be back to enjoy the fall colors!read more

Wonderful restaurant. The first place we were able to walk inside and have a meal. The chicken fried steak was... delicious. We also had drinks with our meal. The staff was incredibly friendly. Wish we lived here because this would be a weekly date night. Definitely will stop by the next time we pass through.read more

We live in Valentine so have had many opportunities to be disappointed at the Peppermill. For some reason they just... can't get that done. Robert and his staff have, however, created many memorable, unique meals for us and our guests. Among our current favorites are Lenis' Short Ribs, Mulligan Sirloin and the Swiss Fun Guy Burger (lots of mushrooms -get it?) The menu is even interesting!read more
