Mr Staab is great and we felt honored to talk with him ! This is the real thing folks - there are at least 60 things... hot and cold on the menu and they are all fabulous. He even knows what a malt versus a shake is! And coffee ice cream too - we ate the grilled cheese and that was amazing as well. I wish I lived here so I could eat here every day. Thank you Mr S! Also I created a video review of your establishment on my Our Earth YouTube channel. !read more

Great little stop. Chicken had perfect skin, meat was a hair dry but very tasty. Family had burgers and loved them.

Need good ice cream? Lots of choices here. Boasted chicken is there specialty. Reasonable prices. If you are at... Fort Robinson you will not want to miss coming into Crawford, NE and stop here. Right by their big white rooster!read more

This is the best ice cream shop in Crawford. Always go 2 to 3 times when we stay at Fort Robinson

Got a phillie and it was good. Chips came with it and I ordered a side of slaw. Been there before for the fish buffet... and left full and happy. I stop to eat there with friends in the area.read more

Only reason not five stars is pickle fries was too expensive for the little amount she cooked. But the double burger... was really good and I was happy. If you are driving through Crawford, stop for the burger. Also the huckleberry ice cream was tasty too. Visited September 27.read more

Loved it! Hometown burgers shakes & Chicken I had a hamburger with shoestring fries that were awesome and a chocolate... shake that was perfect. Totally worth the 1 mi detour off the main highway. 3 miles from this place is an absolutely gorgeous former military installation, Fort Robinson with beautiful old restored buildings, now owned by the state and for rent to the public.read more

One of the best burgers I've ever had! You just don't find places like this anymore. Great old school style drive up... all the way through. No unnecessary pretentious ingredients. Just a simple, fresh and well made burger like it should be. Juicy and not too greasy. They potato wedges were also great. Definitely a winner! Love the outdoor picnic seating as well.read more
